<<<are you going to the meeting?>>>

Toronto is a very long way from where I live. While I'd probably attend something within 100 miles of my home, flying or driving several thousand miles for anything short of an emergency is pretty much out of the question.

<<<I think you would enjoy it and would also make a contribution.>>>

Actually, I have an intense dislike for large cities and sleeping in motel rooms. Plus, I sincerely doubt I have any specialized information not available to most of those likely to be present.

For whatever it's worth, my "contribution" is mostly limited to passing along odds and ends of information I run across on this board. That may not be much, but it is something within my means to do. Not to mention that my little message board project and its 80 bookmarks are not likely to draw much of a crowd, especially considering probably half that number disagree with me. Most dog stocks have a larger following, but that's okay as far as I'm concerned. I think it's better than not doing anything, and I see the ongoing exchange of information and ideas as being productive even though it isn't likely to change the world over night. Sort of like the old joke; ""Every little bit helps.", said Mary, as she spit in the sea trying to drown her husband.".
