I think new orders are the key. Semi manufacturing equipment isn't the kind of business where you build up much inventory in good times or bad. Orders come in, they get filled and shipped. When orders slow, production slows.

I think it gets sold, regardless of the early indication, but we'll see.

EDIT: Of course, to the extent that inventory IS increasing, it's a REALLY bad sign, because customers are cancelling late (possibly incurring penalties to do so).
