So it didn't pop. Here's how I see it technically:

Positive:
We had relatively low volume today, particularly after the morning flurry. The price just penetrated the 5 and 30 minute down trend lines near the end of trading. The price is touching the 30 minute down trend line. The 30 and 39 minute stochastics show oversold and bottomed. The 5 minute stoch is rapidly approaching oversold. Last-minute bear selling did not move the price ( this may have been short activity). There was a 30,000 share buy in the last few minutes. The base held at 17.75 all day. The trend of big block buying is up. The forward long-term Fool ratio (price/earnings/5-year projected growth rate) is .76.

Negative:
The price closed within a half tick of the low. The daily stochastic shows a topping pattern (but is not yet in the overbought zone). This could be reversed with an up day.

Forecast:
If the market makers allow it, there could be a short term breakout on the down side first tick tomorrow, but I expect this will just present a buying opportunity for the wise.

Fear ruled today - perhaps greed tomorrow....
