Yep, still in CA and still close to Santa Maria. Betcha the guy who sold it to him is sh*ttin' his pants right about now. I can't recall the guys name, but isn't the Long Easy built by that guy that's famous for X planes? I seem to recall he was out of Santa Maria. He's the same guy who built those really cool rear engine planes if it's who I'm thinking of. &&&&&&&&&&&& Did you get the full scoop on the SSC yet. Breedlove conceded defeat. Said that whoever broke the barrier, broke the barrier. Period. I almost wondered if it isn't all a "set-up" so they can "officially" break the record TODAY,,on the 50th annv. of Chuck Yeager doing it. Did you get a chance to see it? Unreal fast. Mach I with the cactus scraping yer ass must be a real rush. I'll stick with tryin' to crank my bicycle 40 kilometers in 50 minutes, Thank You.
