The only interesting question is, when ALSC is free to sell the way it pleases all of the UMC related shares, is the market for UMC's services going to be as robust as it is now? If ALSC doesn't capitalize on the foundry allocation units it has at UMC by then, it would have done very poorly in its core business. ALSC needs to capitalize on these issues and beef up its sales and marketing efforts, to be effective for the years 2000-2002.
