Digital Microwave Corporation Receives $2 Million Order for Rural Telephone Network in Costa Rica
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Microwave Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC - news), today announced it has been awarded a $2 Million contract from Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE). The order is to supply DXR 100 digital microwave radios and associated services for the expansion and replacement of a rural telephone network in Costa Rica. Deliveries to ICE begin this month.
Operating at 1xE1 capacity, the 330-400 MHz frequency band version of DXR 100 will be deployed to replace older analog systems as the need for reliable rural telephone service in Costa Rica increases. DXR 100 offers a unique digital solution in frequency bands from 330 to 2700 MHz.
