Hi all; Gigabyte talks about their new products for this year (DDR mostly):

Motherboard Industry 2001 Part 1: Focus on Gigabyte
Jonathan Hou, Fullon3d.com, March 14, 2001
...
Hou: Can you tell us a bit about products you will be releasing this year? (maybe KT266 boards, for example)

Gigabyte: We will release GA-7VTX with KT266 chipset, K7 CPU with DDR memory. GA-6RX with Pro 266, PIII CPU with DDR and with IDE RAID function. They are all for DDR memory. DDR memory will be very popular this year. We have another new AMD 761 based DDR motherboard, GA-7DXR, which will support AMD FSB-266 CPU and DDR plus IDE RAID 0 and 1. They are all very good for those who are chasing high performance PC. For INTEL chipset, our GA-8TX, ATX with i850 chipset for P4, RDRAM Bus, is already in mass-delivery to the market. Another new GA-8TM, Micro ATX with i850, RDRAM Bus, is on the way. GA-8TM is a very good solution for system companies. The other products for P4/DDR, P4/SDRAM and other new platform are under planning for end-of this year. Gigabyte will be trying always to be leader for new technologies in the motherboard industry.
...
Hou: The dual processor market seems somewhat popular, mostly among enthusiasts and workstations. Do you currently have products for this market? What are your plans for the dual processor board market in 2001?

Gigabyte: With the new Network and Communication Division teamed on year 1999, Gigabyte has announced many solutions with dual processors and IDE or SCSI RAID. With the reasonable price and high performance and stability, GA-6VXD7 with VIA 694X, Dual PIII Socket 370 with Dual BIOS, is very popular in retail market among enthusiasts and workstation professionals. Another VIA 694X series, GA-6VXDR7-1, Dual PIII CPU sockets with IDE RAID 0 and 1, on-board ATI Rage with 8M video memory, on-board LAN and ECC SDRAM memory support, will be another hit for this market. In order to provide wider choice for server/workstation motherboards, Gigabyte has announced GA-6RXDW, VIA Pro 266, IDE RAID, DDR memory; which is very good for Server and high-performance Workstation. For Rack Mount application, Gigabyte offers GA-6EXDR, ServerWorks LE chipset, with on-board Ultra 160 SCSI, and GA-6VXDR7, VIA-694X chipset, with IDE RAID and on-board LAN.

Also Gigabyte is planning new server boards with new chipsets. Gigabyte will be always the best choice for enthusiasts and professionals.
