Are Obama's supporters confused?

"A plurality of voters (47%) say Barack Obama’s plan to raise taxes on those who earn over $250,000 a year is good for the troubled U.S. economy,"

Well that might itself be called confused, although simply wrong might be a better term for it, but that's not what I mean, not in isolation in any case.

"even though 51% still believe that lower taxes are the best way to spur economic growth. "

So lower taxes are best for the economy, but Obama's plan to raise them is too?

"Forty-eight percent (48%) of voters say raising capital gains taxes would be bad for the economy."

So a plurality "supports Barack Obama's plan", but a plurality opposes an important element of the plan.

Now since these are only large pluralities and small majorities, not significant majorities, its possible that relatively few individuals fall in to the overlapping contradictory areas, but maybe its an amount about equal to Obama's current lead.
