Health Care reform can result in people getting needed screening and preventive care before they arrive on the Medicare rolls as very sick people. I was fortunate enough to have good insurance to take care of my diabetes for 10 years before I was enrolled in Medicare. As a result, my diabetes stayed under control and I was able to continue working and paying taxes.
