Brent,
I obviously agree with most of the bearish arguments in your AOL tome. The runup ahead of earnings does show that time and time again people get thinking AOL is going to hit a home run--some day that long-promised big money just has to materialize, doesn't it? This quarter we'll have split rumors, Wall Street's positive hype and earnings hype. AOL hasn't split since '95, when it split twice, roughly coincident with earnings. The ride should be interesting.
Best,
-Steve
BTW, some friends of mine in a small Nebraska town signed up for a local ISP at $9.95/mo all-you-can-eat. That wasn't an introductory rate but their normal charge. The competition heats up.
