All: Just received the latest MicroCenter 20 page newspaper style flyer. In it there is a full page devoted to Packard Bell's upcoming
new models headlined with "New systems with the latest specs and incredible prices!" Here is an excerpt from the ad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Packard Bell Platinum 55 P133 16/1.6/TV/ZIP/Scanner

The ultimate in flexibility, the Packard Bell Platinum P133 offers a
whole graphics performance solution for graphics, scanning, portable
storage and high-end video.

Built-in video comes fully equipped with cable-ready TV tuner, and 3D graphics accelerator. The TopDrawer Portable Scanner plugs into the PC to allow you to scan documents and photos up to 8.5x14 sheets at 300dpi resolution. It has a 10-page document feeder, and allows you to copy documents and print out on your printer. The faxmodem comes with Internet Phone software that lets you make long distance calls through your local Internet provider, making your calls virtually free. As you can see, all these features stack up to form a powerful and full-featured computer that blows away any conception of what a personal computer should handle.

- This Platinum Model 55 would be the second (the first was model 5685Z) Packard Bell/NEC PC to feature ZIP as a standard feature. Two weeks ago HP announced new additional models (first was 7110Z) that would include built-in ZIPs as well.
