netscape communicator personal toolbar tip...
from tipworld
"OTHER ITEMS ACCEPTED In Communicator, the Personal Toolbar on the desktop (and the Bookmarks file in the Personal Toolbar Folder) is not just for Web site links. In addition to those familiar links, you can add button icons for news groups, mail folders, or Address Book entries.
To do this, first open the window that contains the component you want to add (such as the Mail window). Select the item you want to add, such as the Inbox icon, then drag it into the Personal Toolbar. The item now appears in the Personal Toolbar, as well as the Bookmarks file in the Personal Toolbar Folder."
>>> this works great! i've got 13 items on the personal toolbar (so i do use it!), but i didn't know i could non-web links up there! i just dragged the messenger inbox icon onto the toolbar. very nice. and a couple of the items were a bit stale, so i just dragged them out of the personal toolbar folder.
remember, it's easy to get to the bookmark window by just pressing ctrl + B. and adding a bookmark can be as simple as pressing ctrl + D .
