1) Bush and his cohorts want to CONTROL the supply, not necessarily dump it on the market. They want to control the entire mid east that's obvious. That has been the goal of Britain and the US for a century.

2) Demand is driving prices. Conservation would seem prudent. We did that starting with Jimmy Carter and the economy thrived under the long period of cheap oil. The economy took a nosedive when people started driving SUVs and we forgot about conserving. Conserving is the non violent and effective means to slow the growth of oil prices. With the savings we could develop a much healthier economy based on renewable energy. We could remain tech leaders by selling the resultant technology to the world.

Bush is just an all around liar and ass with no policy except to stay in power and reward his friends.

And yes he did invade to control Oil. There were no WMDs which you idolators can't admit.
