Swissray sells 2 multifunctional direct digital radiography systems to the
university of texas
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, OCTOBER 6, 1998...SWISSRAY
INTERNATIONAL, INC. (NASDAQ: SRMID) today announced the
sale of two multifunction direct digital Radiography (ddR) systems, the AddOn-
Multi-System, to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston,
Galveston, Texas. Financial terms were not disclosed. Both systems are
scheduled to be installed during the month of October 1998.
Ueli Laupper, CEO of Swissray America, Inc. stated: "I am delighted about
these orders. After having successfully installed AddOn-Multi-Systems on
both the East and West Coast as well as in North Dakota, we have now
reference sites throughout the United States. This will greatly enhance our
sales due to the importance of reference sites in our sales process."
Mr. Raul Reyes Jr., Director of Radiology at the University of Texas Medical
Branch at Galveston, said: "Our institution is committed to the conversion of
analog image capture to digital. The Swissray direct digital radiography
system is a natural fit to our long term strategy. It will enable us to improve
efficiency and reduce operating costs immediately. The Swissray product will
be an integral part of our PACS."
