Actually, cable modems will probably become the standard, and ISDN, as well as ADSL, will become obsolete. Cable modems are much faster than ADSL. The only chance ADSL has is that the cable companies are taking their sweet time about it. If the telcos get in gear, they can capture a significant portion of the base, and make it harder for the cable companies to woo them away.

We shall see.
