Gottfried .. well, I guess my computer is in the Twilight Zone. I went to the Tweak site as you suggested, but I got an error saying that the page could not be found. So I tried again and the same thing except that I was able to click on a column that was at the side of the screen. Then I clicked on FAQ and my system froze. So I rebooted for the 15th time today and the miracle happened. It kept popping and popping and popping - I've got my sound card back! I don't know what's going to happen the next time I have to exit, but for now, it works. Thanks for all you help.
