"the press" is not what it used to be. you are now a part of "the press", as am i.
what you're thinking of as "the press" is now commercial "infotainment sales" media.
from a study of twitter tweets the infotainment that their available audience is
consuming and participating in breaks down something like this:

1) entertainment news = 28%
2) sports news = 25%
3) government & politics news = 17%
4) personal, weather & all other news = 30%

yours and hillary's share of "eyeball interest" is some small percentage of number 3).

i'm not sure that what trump is doing is what hillary should be doing
in regards to strong-arming the commercial "infotainment sales" media... but it makes
sense. "infotainment sales" media must focus on maximum eyeball procurement to drive
business profit - so they cannot ignore their market's strong cravings for entertainment
news and sports news. if they can dress their media offerings in entertainment and sports
clothing, they can grab more eyeballs and charge more for their advertising.

most people know this by now... this is why commercial "infotainment media" is disrespected
and their credibility is suspect because the content is tied to their bottom line (financially).

OTOH, you and i are not driven by the mighty dollar factor for the "news" we tweet. we're driven
by moral imperatives. that's even WORSE than capitalistic motives. it's much more complicated.

therefore...

I QUIT! I GIVE UP! I'M JUST GOING TO WATCH THE DAILY SHOW.
OH GOD... JON STEWART QUIT TOO. I THINK I'LL WATCH FOOTBALL
WITH HIM.

this is only one way to look at it. there are others. this is probably a
worthless post. at best, it's only food for more thought. i hate this
"moral imperative" stuff. the secret of life is... sports.
