Drs. Jacobs and Jha are both taking a more active role in the legal actions and making sure that right assets (internal and external) are dedicated to the Broadcom legal effort.

Oh, gosh, engineers taking charge of legal issues.

Not a good thing.

Don't get me wrong, I love engineers, they're great, but I have found them to be deficient in analyzing legal issues. And I speak from experience, having represented them.

A terrific exception was IMJ, but he is unique. I hope he keeps a very active hand in things.

Engineers tend to see things in black and white, numerically, and like to pigeonhole issues. This is not how law works.

I see the first potential error in the focus towards doing legal matters inhouse. Significant litigation needs to be done by independent counsel. Period. Full stop.
