13, 1999--Scan-Optics, Inc., (NASDAQ: SOCR) a leader in high volume
document processing systems and information management solutions, and
Photomatrix Corporation, (NASDAQ: PHRX) today announced the signing of
a memorandum of agreement for Scan-Optics to acquire the Photomatrix
Scanner and Maintenance Division of Photomatrix Corporation of
Carlsbad, California, including certain product and technology rights.
Over the past 34 years, Photomatrix has established a leadership role
as a supplier of high-performance imaging products. For the twelve
months ended December 31, 1998, the Photomatrix Scanner and Maintenance
Division realized $5 million in revenue.
