Windows NT and Pentium Pro are not for regular consumers, like you and me, they are for cooperate America new purchase or upgrade, and this upgrade cycle to WindowsNT/Pentium Pro is a huge one. By the way, they don't their computer equipment from Best Buy.

It's may be true that the consumer side of the computer sale is weaker than expected, but computer manufacture, like CPQ, made much less money than their cooperate account, because the unite sale and the profit margin. That is why DELL doesn't sell its computer through retail channel.
