Do you know what medical care was like when the Constitution was written? It was mainly herbal, which people made themselves. It almost certainly would have been included if they had the kind of medical care we have now. Sort of goes with idea of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"... Modern medicine is why we have more than an average lifespan of 35 or so.
