That is the current reality, Justa. But their other assets are just beginning to be appreciated, especially since the VRTS deal was too large to be ignored. Luzco said that they were exploring ways of unlocking the value of their holdings without hurting the stocks of the underlying companies, and hoped to have something sometime in the next month or two. He declined to be more specific.

All that said: August is typically a great time to buy drive stocks, especially in those August when it seems like no sane person would ever want to own them. This strategy has frequently resulted in doubles or triples by the following Jan or Feb, and occasionally even better than that.
