The Wa Post says 13% of Obama's 69.5M votes goes to Romney, but says Obama will only retain 84%, ie will lose 16%. The delta stays home. So pull off 11M (16% of 69.5) add in a 2M (maybe for increased turnout - very generous assumption imo) and you get 60.5M for Obama.

As for Romney, he gets McCains 60M votes from 08 plus 9M (13% of Obama's 69.5M) plus another 2M and you get to 71M.

Should probably allocate another 2M votes between them. If 3% of Obama's 69.5M ( or 2M) stay home but the overall turnout still goes up 4M, then another 2M should be allocated between them. OK, call it 72M Romney, 62M Obama.
