THE BIG PICTURE REPORT: The Newport AIM program gave a BUY in the HITECH and NEW ASIA markets this week. The selloff in both those areas has AIM excited to grab more bargains. The EMERGING markets are looking to be another candidate for AIM as it continues to weaken. AIM has had three recent BUYS in that market and its rubbing it hands for more. The ENERGY market is still in a downtrend but still far away not to get to interested in it right now. After two recent BUYS in the EUROPEAN market, AIM is now waitng for it to come alive, It is slowly doing so. FINANCE still is the supreme group. AIM has been pleased with the profits generated from this sector this year. However with Christmas coming AIM wants to buy with the proceeds. So where to look? NEW-ASIA and HITECH of course. Friday, AIM suggested some nice BUYS in those two groups. In looking at the BIG PICTURE, HEALTH is still above Newports AIM moving average, as well as FINANCE, GROWTH, REALTY, VALUE. The importance of looking at the BIG PICTURE with AIM is that you need to know where the values are so you can investigate the funds with the best history of recovering and then purchase those funds while prices are at bargains. Remember, this is opposite the INVEST N BEST theory, but a nice contrarian way to BUY LOW and SELL HIGH. Have a great week....
