Barbara, I, too, have my doubts about earnings estimates. Even when they are right the "market" is likely to put its own spin on them. By any chance have you seen the Emerald Reasearch report on Iomega? They came out with one a couple of weeks ago as a part of a "come on" to buy their reports. This is the same company that issued a sell on Iomega back in June when the stock was around 40. They said the stock was ok for the long term but that it would be at $16 inside of a year. Anyway, in their recent report, which you can get for free, they mention everything but not a word about 3rd quarter earnings. You have to wait and pay for that report. I have to admit I am damn curious about this report.
