Fitting reply to an earlier posted editorial. "We as Americans have failed to learn the lessons of history. We also have failed to respect the value system that brought us to these unparalleled heights. Just like Rome and all the others before us, we apparently will crumble from within. My generation, and its immediate predecessor have failed miserably in educating our children as to where the world has been, where we are in relation to it, and how we got here. The price of this failure is the pain of watching Obama and his progressive/socialist cadres dismantle all that prior generations have accomplished. In its place we see the outright lies that pass as history in our schools and the foolishness of a generation enraptured by the words of a slick snake oil salesman. Never mind watching what he does. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. We, as a people now take our comfort in hearing the soothing promises we want to hear. We are, unfortunately, now too vapid to bother comparing these soothing words to the destructive actions they so thinly conceal."
