Hugh Hewitt Bill Moyers goes gently into the night, and just in case no one noticed, he's telling everyone that he mattered --a lot! Of course Moyers is ending his PBS career on exactly the right wrong note --denouncing media as right-wing, just days before CBS releases its report on Rathergate. Heh. No doubt there will be a send-off party with many solemn nods about how FoxNews has ruined everything by actually reporting the news. Bottom line on Moyers: Like almost all of PBS, he's been irrelevant for years, and has grown bitter at an eclipse made complete by the rise of cable and the blogosphere. Moyers and the rest of the way-left secular sermon-givers are no more relevant to news today than Mary Pickford was to movies by 1935. hughhewitt.com
