I just heard an interesting interview with a wildfire researcher from the Thompson Rivers University in the interior of BC. He went through the historical records and discovered that the proportion of wildfires in BC classified as human-caused has been steadily decreasing, with lightning taking up the 'slack'.

Also note that 'human-caused' includes incidents like strong winds blowing over power lines and the like, which I would not have classified as human-caused.
