Bruce I am not an EE but you should also look at amati's O8 which is 8Mbps and also vdsl which is up to 60Mbps. From what I understand that you need 2-3Mbps to support a high quality digital chanel. The main advantage of caws is that it would probably be substantially cheaper for rural areas. So I think that both technologies can coexist. Regards -Albert
