What people never mention is that if Netscape were really that much better, Explorer could never have replaced them. Netscape is not offering anything special and I don't use it simply cause it's slow and I just don't like the product. Microsoft's critics will never admit that Microsoft's stuff is any good, because their "evil empire" mentality is based on the (false) premise that Microsoft's success is due primarily to aggressive business tactics. It's a smear compaign. But at the end of the day, nobody is forced to use Microsoft's products, Windows is an open platform, Netscape is a couple mouse clicks away, and if somebody can't be bothered to download it then it must not be so hot, eh?
