However, a SCSI card, using only one IRQ, can support up to 14 external items (drives, backups, scanners, etc.). There are other reasons too. When rhapsody comes out one big problem would be having to write drivers for all the drives, backup tapes, etc. However if you use a SCSI card, the SCSI manufacturer has already done that. So all you have to do is write a driver for the SCSI card.
