My understanding is that CIA's denial put the lid on the rally. Their words are "we don't have any information on that", which is not exactly a denial, but anyway.

A Pakistani source says the US has Bin Ladin but will not make this news public until Iraq invasion commences - gotta keep the nation afraid, I guess...
