I understand & mostly agree with your position on that.

My problem is that Kerry's history doesn't match up with
what he is now spending $25 million to try to portray it
as. His peers prior to the war are on record about his
political aspirations, lack of sense of duty to serve &
questions about the war. It also seems that Kerry tried to
avoid serving where the real fighting was, even when he
tried to get on the swift boats.

As for his medals, that is an impressive performance in
less than 4 months. And indeed he earned them while in
very dangerous service for our country. But I find it odd
that the 3 Purple Hearts, all for very minor wounds, that
his own peers, medical officer & superiors are
questioning, became his quick ticket home to make a
political career as an anti-war activist.

I seriously doubt that there are many other servicemen who
earned so many medals in such a short period of time, then
used their 3 Purple Hearts, all for minor wounds, as their
ticket home & turned so viciously against the war once
they got home. And keep in mind that Kerry has established
a long history of blatant lies to achieve his goals.

It's when you look at the whole picture. Contemplate
that Kerry began his political career as a vocal anti-
Vietnam war candidate who now wants to run for President
as a Vietnam war hero. IMO, those medals do seem to need
more scrutiny.
