Karma, I'm going to bring your holiday message forward, because I do not think very many people around here got it. Every time peace breaks out at Feelings it seems to be of very short duration, and I really do not understand why. Anyway, for those who missed it, this was a very good post:

It has been unsettling to witness the rancor that has continued here over the last couple
of months, and it makes me wonder what each of us has in mind as we enter this new
year.
Why are we here? To bring pain and discomfort to one another? To prove the
illusionary "correctness" of our positions? To elevate ourselves above others? We all
share a common ground. The distance between us is only as great as our incapacity to
appreciate one another as fellow travelers on a common road.
We are here to love, to grow, and to help each other to realize our highest good.
Anything else is selfishness, and there are thousands of years of tumult and pain that
witness the effects of self centeredness and ego worship (on macro and micro levels).
Life is short.

I wish for all of you the blessings of this holiday season, and hope this new year finds
