That is true-- but commanders are frequently behind the lines and must get informed. If they were not informed, that also would be a breach.
However, when people are accused of crimes against humanity , there should be an investigation. I would, of course, be relieved if Sharon is exonerated.
Your other question of what percentage of Muslims etc. I agree with you that it will be the majority of Muslims that want the destruction of Israel. That is because their media and their schools have spewed out hate. However, there is an enlightened class and there are the leaders who have a better picture and they make decisions. In fact, senator Biden was on a panel of ME leaders discussing the problems. When he strongly referred to the misinformation being believed, especially the WTC being bombed by Israel, he was roundly applauded by an audience of Arab leaders.
I posted the Australian Muslim Student web site on this thread. Among the articles posted there was how Israel is planning to nuke Mecca, Medina, and the Dome. Worse, they believe that stupidity. Even worse, is that it was a college student thread. I emailed the site to a Marxist friend who is a Dean at an Australian university and she hasn't replied. However, this coming weekend, my wife and I were invited to dinner at a Muslim friend's home. I expect a cordial evening of differences. The friends don't want to destroy Israel.
