Look at the 52 week range of $8 to $92 to see what the market thinks. It's clear that all the previous activity, including a spurt above $30, was speculation on a takeover. When are they going to show a profit now? They have dilluted the stock with two companies that seem highly speculative on their own. Now, 3 successes in speculative ventures have to take place. Oh, and check the P/E ratio. An exceptionally high P/E, speculation on top of speculation, and no evidence of significant new contracts (not to mention a possible future loss of their major buyer of equipment), and people are surprised the stock is trading down. As a final comment, watch the stock hover around, and break below the 50 day average, to guess the future direction of this "exceptional" equipment maker.....PS: Why today?.. I suspect people don't want to watch the CIENA's of this world, when the major markets are moving strongly.....R |
