Will SiS645 chipset replace VIA KT266A as the "fastest K7 chipset?"
planet3dnow.de

Look near the bottom of the page for the SiSoft Sandra memory benchmark. The K7S6A board beats both the NForce board and the KT133A board in memory bandwidth. This may seem like pretty slim evidence but
1. The K7S6A is a very cheap board (645) is a single chip solution
2. SiS chipsets have always outperformed VIA in disk performance due to the 1.2GBs direct interface to IDE ports. The SiS 635 chipset comes very close to KT266A performance even though it's memory bandwidth is 10% lower.
3. The 645 chipset also supports PC2700 (although it wasn't used in the benchmark result above)

Isn't competition wonderful!
