Dave, MM's are masters at psychology!!! Here's how they do it!!! - 1) No one especially FUNDS likes to buy unless there is up activity!!! - 2) MM's control FUNDS by preventing UP-Tics, i.e. they immedietly sell 200 or so shares following every buy!!! You can see this in black & white as proof positive that they control; (providing volume is not extremely heavy by the following!!! - 3) Funds, momentum investors, etc. just don't buy in when there are no up's on the chart!!! MM's prevent UP's, here's how you can verify this. - 4) Run the INTERDAY chart and observe that all Peaks on the chart are POINTS, i.e. there are no FLAT tops; and numerous FLAT bottoms are evident. - 5) You cannot use this if volume is too heavy as there are no flats on peaks or bottoms. Last month just before OPTIONS expiration, I oobserved 1 FLAT TOP and 20 FLAT BOTTOMS on the chart for CREAF!!! - 6) A 20 to 1 ratio is simply not within the realm of STATISTICAL REALITY. Proof positive that someone likely MM's is controlling the market!!! - 7) Where volume is too high, you must watch the tape and count the number of BUYS that are immedietly followed by SELLS of about 200 shares!!! Then compare the number of sells that are immedielty followed by buys!!! Statistically they should be about equal, and certianly never an order of magnitude or more differedt!!! - 8) Never understimate the MM's, they are like the CASINO, they have unlimited reserves and will try to wear you down!!! - 9) Learn the MM's patterns and go counter to them!!! - 10) Just like in the CASINO, little luck never hurts!!!
