Mogadishu was a tragedy which taught us a lesson. Bush may not have watched the movie because the lesson didn't sink in.
Lesson being, we need moderate Arab allies to go on the attack inside Arab and Muslim cities. Otherwise everyone is your enemy. Even our vastly superior armor and firepower is vulnerable to that.
