Ahhh, for the good old days when they didn't charge you fifty bucks if you inadvertently walked off with the monogrammed hotel bathrobe. In Asia, many of the better hotels have a price list for seemingly every liftable item in the room. Bedspread, ashtray, glasses, ice bucket etc. It seems many Asians are inveterate hotel souvenir collectors. I once got stung for five bucks for walking off with a cloth laundry bag from the Manila Peninsula.
