I'll grant that you may be right about when exactly EXXON began activities in the area. But I still think my theory will prove to be essentially right, though some of the details may be wrong.

As to the information regarding the sample "31 gravity" oil did not come from a "chatroom". In fact, I don't even know why you would suggest such a thing since I never claimed that as the source of the information. Trust me the sources are non-internet. Furthermore, I get the sense that, should the "31 gravity" sample story pan out, you would have to re-evaluate your cautionary stance.

In an earlier post someone recommended that I get a subscription to a publication that covers the oil industry (this was part of a negative post re: AIPN). Well, needless to say, I did not get a subscription but I'm wondering if the publication in question was Platt's Oilgram News which was founded in 1934 and is published by the Commodities Division of Standard and Poor's. The reason I mention Oilgram is that today's edition (July 25 issue) has a very lengthy piece on AIPN. The headline reads: "American International's Kazak Play May Be Even Bigger Than Its 1-Billion bbs Estimate". The rest of the article is unfortunately illegible (bad FAX'd copy). Wall Street Associates will re-send it when they get a clean copy and it should be out on the wire services sometime today. Check it out!
