well some "varmints" are very destructive..........woodchucks for example. I had one digging burrows all over my property. After one cut a buried electrical line that fed my outside garage, I had to plug him with a 22. Many farmers welcome varmint shooters to thin out the woodchuck population. I agree though......once you get past woodchucks........shooting varmints is a whole lot harder to rationalize. I know they consider coyotes varmints out west where the populations are very high. I suppose a controlled thinning of the population is reasonable though.

What does this have to do with shooting them for "fun"? And the most important thing, showing your children that senseless killing of living creatures is "good fun"?
