re: "Anyway, my advice is to give this legal thing a rest."

It is in a state of rest; I have not done anything but put pAUL and those he may have hurt with posts that could, in time, be demonstrated to have been less than completely candid, on notice.

"I believe that AMD is well positioned to reward us longs in the near term. Long term I also have my doubts."

That is where you and I differ; but, not by much. I am much more confident of the long term than I am of the short term. I do not preclude the possibility of the stock rocketing in the short term; however, I do not count on it.

"Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the forthcoming David vs Goliath battle."

I already breath very deeply and I am enjoying the battle as it unfolds. No significant piece of software has, to my knowledge, yet been written or compiled to optimize on an ATHLON based system...and those systems are NOW running circles around "comparable" pEEIII systems that cost more. This is true, despite the fact that AMD is pricing the ATHLONs essentially head-to-head with pEEIII's. I suspect that we are going to see some positive earnings surprises and all hell should break loose with relative stock pricing. Keep in mind that iNTEL's market cap. is almost 100 times AMD's market cap. As this ratio moves closer to parity this tattered thread should be in a party mood.

Regards,

DARBES
