DVD-RAM looks to be the format that will be interesting. You can say that again. DVD has different formats for different world regions. This means that the people in Europe cannot take a DVD movie from America and begin watching it before the movie is released in Europe. With DVD ram the software for performing this reginalization will be in the computer memory, not the EPROM of some imbedded controller, and it won't be long until it is reverse engineered. Then the movie companies start hollering, and then it will be interesting. TP
