I really DID grow up thinking that the Mother Mary conceived Jesus, immaculately...all these years! nihil, I've never been 'good' at "scholarly", and I haven't read or studied 'the book'...so, I called my Catholic Italian Mother, She filled me in. I had NO idea that She knew so much...I was a bit shocked. She mentioned Vatican II and "The Reformation of the Church". She'd never pushed it on me...besides, I was baptized Episcopalian...Yippeeee. When I was 3, I screamed bloody murder One Easter, my parents having left me at Sunday school...they came back for me...I was terrorized by all the death energy! I rejected 'religion' very early on and I honestly don't have the Gumption to to read what I consider very disturbing "marketing copy". Orthodoxy wrinkles my psyche...I'll gladly keep my opinions to myself. And most importantly, I am not "refuting" "christian orthodoxy"...I'm just peering in through the Stained Glass.
