RE: .....What really put CPQ in the driver's seat was great engineering and a close........ Gotta agree with this. Back in the 8088 days you had the choice of RGB or TTL mono monitors. Then CPQ brought out the 'luggable' with video adapter that would actually run CGA and give you the nice crisp monospaced TTL style fonts. I remember this as one of those "WOW...why doesn't anybody else do this" moments. ...dkp... geocities.com
