Jeff Epstein is still dead.
ITEM 1: Over the weekend, I wrote " Epstein dies of Arkancide." But a suicide would have done the same thing.
Under omertà, the code of silence, suicide is used to avoid testifying against one's accomplices. Death guarantees silence.
In the movie "The Godfather II," gangster Frank Pentangeli was willing to testify against the mob. He sent his family back to Italy where his mafioso brother would protect them.
Michael Corleone however brought the brother in to witness the testimony. Pentangeli recanted. Tom Hagen visited him afterward and explained he must kill himself to protect his loved ones, which he did.
So maybe a real life Tom Hagen visited Epstein and convinced the billionaire to pay the guards to look the other way while he killed himself.
No matter how it was done, with Epstein gone, I doubt the Clintons will ever be brought to justice.
But may they live long because they cast a dark shadow over their party.
ITEM 2: The Washington Examiner reported, "A campaign staffer for Bernie Sanders was screamed at by a local photojournalist who was repeatedly shoved following the Vermont senator's remarks at the Iowa State Fair.
"The confrontation erupted after members of the campaign relentlessly pushed the local journalists to make room for Sanders as he made his way to various attractions at the fair on Sunday."
Don't turn around.
The commissar's in town.
ITEM 3: The Hill reported, "The uncle of an infant who lost both parents in the Saturday mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that killed more than 20 people defended a photo the president took with the child while giving a thumbs up, The Washington Post reported.
"Trump traveled to El Paso on Wednesday to meet with first responders, hospital workers and victims of the shootings.
"Tito Anchondo, whose brother and sister-in-law were killed in the attack, chose to take his orphaned nephew to meet the president and first lady. The 2-month-old boy suffered two broken fingers, but he survived the shooting after his parents shielded him.
"Anchondo told the Washington Post he wanted to take the boy to meet the president and tell him about his family."
Jeff Bezos should be ashamed that his ghouls at the Post tried to politicize a tragedy. Reporters need to start asking themselves, WUDT2O?
Would You Do This To Obama?
ITEM 4: Reuters reported, "Hollywood star Richard Gere on Saturday urged the Italian government to stop 'demonising people' and instead help migrants who have been stranded on a Spanish charity boat in the Mediterranean for more than a week."
Interior Minister Matteo Salvini replied, "Given this generous millionaire is voicing concern for the fate of the Open Arms migrants, we thank him: he can take back to Hollywood, on his private plane, all the people aboard and support them in his villas. Thank you Richard!"
Ah, as the song said, why don't you take the woman with the skinny legs?
Readers have noticed that since Red China surpassed the United States in box office ticket sales, Gere has been silent on the Free Tibet movement.
ITEM 5: The New York Times reported, "The Global Machine Behind the Rise of Far-Right. Nationalism — Sweden was long seen as a progressive utopia. Then came waves of immigrants — and the forces of populism at home and abroad."
Skip the story. The reason for this is the Internationalist Machine failed. It delivered unemployment, government intrusion where there should be none, and mass importation of people of other cultures. Muslim rapes and other crimes go unpunished.
Failure has consequences. Decades of demonizing all nationalism as Nazism fails to recognize that what defeated Nazism was Americans fighting for America, the British fighting for Britain, and the Russians fighting for Russia.
(Pay sites go unlinked.)
ITEM 6: ABC reported, "A Florida white supremacist has been arrested for threatening a shooting at a Walmart just days after 22 people were killed at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, in one of the worst mass shootings in the country's modern history."
Good. Racism is a dead end, and a trap. There are few thousand actual white supremacists on the loose in a nation of 320 million people. The ones terrorizing Walmarts are volunteering for prison. Lock 'em up.
ITEM 7: Yahoo reported, "Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., said Sunday that President Trump’s administration is running a 'campaign of terror' against immigrants."
Illegal aliens who had overstayed their visas committed 9/11.
Checkmate.
At some point the Democrat campaign of hysteric hyperbole does nothing but rot their brains. I am sure they think the phrase will resonate among voters, just as they thought basket of deplorables was.
ITEM 8: Yahoo reported, "President Trump, who has trafficked in conspiracy theories since he entered public life, seemed to cross a line Saturday by sharing a tweet that tied former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the jailhouse death of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump’s retweet of comedian Terrence K. Williams’ post with the hashtag #ClintonBodyCount drew outrage on the Sunday morning news broadcasts — except on Fox News, where his senior adviser Kellyanne Conway defended it."
Speaking of peddling crazy conspiracy theories, how did Russiagate work out for Democrats and the media?
ITEM 9: The New York Post reported, "Mayor Bill de Blasio pitched his presidential dreams to a crowd of about 15 likely Democratic voters at an event Sunday morning in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. With more than enough empty space to accommodate his 6-foot-5 frame, the quixotic candidate took the floor at Parlor City Pub to a smattering of applause from the sleepy brunch set.
"'Everything should be about our families, our lives, what everyday people are going through, what working people are going through,' de Blasio told the crowd, which numbered around 15 — not counting the press corps, campaign staff and Iowa State Sen. Rob Hogg, the event organizer."
That's 15 more than I predicted.
But there's a lot of money in running for president for the candidates. If not, no chancers like de Blasio would not run.
ITEM 10: The Sun-Sentinel reported, "Protesters out-numbered by thousands attending gun show in Pembroke Pines."
The story quoted Trump supporter, Daniel Zemon, who said, "They have the right to protest. I’ve had some good discussions with them. I mean, it’s actually productive, I think."
He was born circa 2000. This century might not turn out so bad after all.
ITEM 11: The New York Post reported, "Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang said if he won the White House, he’d turn Tax Day into a party."
As President Reagan said, "Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the Democrats believe every day is April 15."
ITEM 12: The New York Post reported, "‘We’re all in the closet’: Trump’s Hamptons supporters go underground." The Washington Examiner reported, "A Northern California city has denied a request to hold a so-called Straight Pride rally at a park. "Modesto city officials on Friday denied an application by the National Straight Pride Coalition for an Aug. 24 event at Graceada Park." Fear not. We are the rebels. We beat Emperor Palpatine. We blew up her Death Star. We are united. They cannot stop us. Ever. ITEM 13:
Homophobes.
ITEM 14:
Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing Let the whole world know that today Is a day of reckoning.
We should banish to Red China those "U.S. athletes" who kneel instead of standing for the National Anthem.
