another roadblock to ath pass 148.92!

Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- A former member of the punk rock
band the Ramones sued Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Apple Inc., and
RealNetworks Inc., claiming they sold songs he wrote without his
approval.
The suit by Richard Reinhardt, also known as Richie Ramone,
was filed today in Manhattan federal court. The complaint also
names as a defendant the estate of John Cummings, The Ramones'
deceased lead man who was known as Johnny Ramone.
Reinhardt seeks damages of at least $900,000 for the alleged
infringement of six songs that he wrote. He says the songs are
being sold digitally without his approval.
``Richie has never licensed or authorized the use of the
compositions in any digital formats,'' according to the
complaint.
Richie joined the Ramones in 1983, according to the Ramones
Web site. The band formed in 1974.
The suit is Reinhardt v. Wal-Mart, 07-cv-8233, U.S. District
Court, Southern District of New York (Manhattan).
