The distance was about 50 yds.....the shooters also shot at him with a rifle and missed.... He didn't divert them at all......they went right to the library and then the cafeteria methodically shooting those they found hiding or came upon.... True, not all the explosives worked and it another reason why the SWAT's didn't move too fast, but rather waited for bomb people... The shooters had about 30 min before the first cops entered the building... They were back in the library when they saw all SWAT's coming at the building.....they committed suicide there... Many students and teachers were still hiding all over the school...
