EMC Works With Dell Computer To Complete Rigorous Testing For Windows NT Support of Oracle Parallel Server Database
HOPKINTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 1998-- EMC Corporation, the world's leading provider of enterprise storage solutions, today announced that Oracle Corporation [Nasdaq:ORCL - news] has certified EMC's Symmetrix Enterprise Storage systems as part of a complete cluster configuration to support Oracle Parallel Server. EMC worked in conjunction with Dell Computer [Nasdaq:DELL - news] to complete the program, which provides customers with validation that Symmetrix systems are fully integrated to support Oracle Parallel Server as part of a certified Dell cluster configuration.

The Oracle Parallel Server Cluster Certification program ensures that certified Windows NT configurations will work with Oracle Parallel Server ''out of the box.'' By using Oracle Parallel Server for Windows NT clusters, users can add processing power and storage capacity as their databases grow. Multiple Windows NT servers can be easily connected to a single Symmetrix Enterprise Storage system to provide high-availability, high-performance and high-capacity storage.
